Under the invitation of Chinese Embassy to Thailand, CCS delegation led by Prof. Tavivat Puntarigvivat, attended the seminar “World Significance of China Model” taught by Prof. ZHANG Weiwei, one of the well-known China-based scholars on China Studies at Bangkok Chinese Cultural Center this morning.

Prof. ZHANG was the former English interpreter of Deng Xiaoping, paramount China’s leader who opened China to the word in the 1980s. His current position is the dean of College for China Studies at the Fudan University of Shanghai.

This morning’s event was co-organized by both Chinese Embassy and Bangkok-based Thai-Chinese Strategic Research Center under the office of National Research Council, Thailand.

CCS delegation also had a very pleasant conversation with General Surasit Thanadtang, the chief advisor of National Defense Studies Institute at Chinese Cultural Center this morning. General Surasit happily accepted CCS’s invitation to him to visit CCS and present his research at CCS International Conference in October.
